Demand Generation
A Performance Max campaign engineered to stay accountable, structured and measured from day one.
For med spas, home services firms, dental practices and solo-legal offices running Google Performance Max, or about to, who want the reach without handing Google a blank check and losing sight of where the money goes.
Every engagement is directed by a technical specialist and reviewed before delivery.
What this is
A Performance Max build is the scoped construction of a single Google PMax campaign, structured and constrained so it stays accountable instead of behaving like a black box. A specialist sets up the account and conversion tracking, builds themed asset groups, writes search themes, and installs the guardrails that keep PMax accountable: brand exclusions, campaign and account level negative keyword lists, first-party audience exclusions so budget chases new customers, and clean placement and content exclusions. Conversion values are wired through server-side tracking and Consent Mode v2, so the campaign optimizes toward real booked revenue rather than a vanity action. The engagement delivers a documented, launch-ready campaign with channel-level reporting turned on and a defined change cadence, showing where spend actually lands across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail and Maps. The outcome is a PMax campaign that is steerable, measurable, and defensible from day one, ready for accountable management rather than guesswork.
The problem
Why this matters now
Performance Max is the campaign Google most wants you to run, and the one that most easily runs you instead. Point it at a goal, hand it a budget, and it will spend across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail, Discover and Maps with very little of that visible unless someone deliberately builds in the controls. For a med spa or a home services firm, that means real dollars flowing to places you cannot see, optimized toward whatever conversion action was wired up, correct or not.
The default failures are predictable. One giant asset group with everything in it, so the automation cannot tell a high-value service from a low-value one. No brand exclusions, so the campaign quietly buys clicks from people already searching your name and reports them as fresh wins. No negative keywords, so budget leaks to junk queries. Conversion tracking that fires on a page view instead of a booked appointment, so the machine optimizes hard toward the wrong thing and the numbers look great while the calendar stays empty.
There is also a reporting problem. Left alone, PMax returns a blended cost per conversion and a return figure that looks like truth but is stitched from last-click credit across channels no one chose. Whether YouTube is working or wasting, whether the spend is finding new customers or re-buying people who would have booked anyway, stays invisible. The number on the dashboard is not a lie exactly, but it is not evidence either.
What you actually need is a PMax campaign you can steer. Built so the automation gets the right inputs, constrained so it cannot wander, tracked so the conversions it chases are the ones that pay your bills, and reported so every dollar of ad spend can be traced. That is a build, done deliberately, before the first click is ever bought.
How it works
The mechanism, made checkable
- 01
Lock the goal and the real conversion first
Before any campaign exists, a specialist defines the one action that pays you, a booked appointment, a qualified call, a submitted consultation request, and wires conversion tracking to fire on that, not on a page view or a click. Values flow through server-side tracking with Consent Mode v2, because Privacy Sandbox is dead and the stack that actually works in 2026 is a Conversions API, consent-aware tags, and clean-room measurement, not third-party cookies. If the machine optimizes toward the wrong action, every later number is fiction. That gets fixed at the source.
- 02
Structure into themed asset groups
One asset group with everything in it is the most common PMax mistake. Separate asset groups are built around your actual service themes, each with its own relevant copy, images and video, so the automation can match intent instead of averaging it. Google expanded search themes to up to 50 per asset group in 2026 (Google, Performance Max steering and reporting updates, 2026), and they are used deliberately to tell the system which search-intent clusters each group should chase.
- 03
Install the guardrails that keep it accountable
This is where a build earns its keep. Brand exclusions are turned on so the campaign stops buying clicks from people already searching your name and dressing them up as new wins. Campaign-level negative keywords, now supported up to 10,000 per campaign (Google, 2026), are added along with account-level lists to block junk queries. First-party audience exclusions keep budget chasing new customers instead of re-buying existing ones, and content and placement exclusions are set for brand safety.
- 04
Feed strong assets and signals
Automation is only as good as what it is given. High-quality text, image and video assets are assembled to real specs, audience signals are loaded to seed the system without caging it, and, where Shopping applies, the product feed is made clean and complete. The 2026 discipline is less about overriding PMax and more about giving it accurate tracking, strong creative and thoughtful structure, then letting it work inside the fences that were built.
- 05
Turn on the reporting that shows where money goes
Channel-level performance reporting and search-terms reporting are enabled from the start, showing how budget splits across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail and Maps rather than leaving one blended number to stand for the whole picture. This is the difference between a black box and a steerable campaign. It also sets up the measurement for later: no naked return figure is ever reported, because a blended last-click ROAS is not proof that the spend caused the revenue.
- 06
Document, launch-ready, hand over with a cadence
The campaign is delivered built and documented: structure, exclusions, tracking, assets, and a defined change cadence. Best practice in 2026 is to read reporting weekly but hold structural changes to a roughly two-week rhythm so the automation is not whipsawed. Every engagement is directed by a specialist and reviewed before delivery. You own the account and everything in it, ready either to run in-house or for accountable ongoing management.
What is included
What is delivered
- Account and conversion-tracking setup, with the primary conversion defined as a real booked action and values wired through server-side tracking and Consent Mode v2

- Brand exclusions configured so the campaign does not cannibalize your own brand searches
- Campaign-level and account-level negative keyword lists to block junk and off-target queries
- First-party audience exclusions and audience signals set so budget favors new-customer acquisition
- Content, placement and brand-safety exclusions applied across channels
- Product feed setup and hygiene where Shopping inventory is in play
- Channel-level and search-terms reporting enabled, plus a documented change cadence and a written handover of the whole build
The outcome
What it moves
- A launch-ready Performance Max campaign that optimizes toward a real booked conversion, not a page view or a vanity click
- Themed asset groups with deliberate search themes, so the automation matches intent instead of spraying budget at an average
- Brand exclusions, negative keyword lists and first-party audience exclusions installed, so spend is protected from your own brand traffic, junk queries and re-buying existing customers
- Channel-level and search-terms reporting turned on, showing where ad spend actually lands across every PMax surface
- Conversion measurement wired for the post-cookie world with server-side tracking and Consent Mode v2, ready for iROAS and incrementality reads rather than a blended last-click number
- An account and campaign fully owned by you, documented, with a defined change cadence, ready to run in-house or for accountable management
What you get
What you get, and how it is priced
A Performance Max build is scoped to your surface: how many services or product lines need their own asset group, whether Shopping and a product feed are in play, the state of current conversion tracking, and how much guardrail work the account needs before it is safe to launch. A single-service dental practice with clean tracking is a different build from a multi-location home services firm with a product feed and a decade of messy account history. The work is sized to what the account actually requires, then the figure is confirmed in writing before anything is built.
| Single-Campaign Build. One Performance Max campaign built end to end for a focused goal: conversion tracking wired to a real booked action, a small set of themed asset groups, the full guardrail stack of brand, negative and audience exclusions, and reporting turned on. Scoped after we see your account and your conversion path. | Quoted |
| Structured PMax Build. A multi-asset-group build for a business with several services or product lines, including product feed hygiene where Shopping applies, deeper audience signal work, and a documented steering plan. Scoped to the number of themes, the state of your tracking, and the guardrail work the account needs. | Quoted |
| Build and Steer. The full build plus ongoing accountable management: weekly reporting reads, the two-week change cadence, and measurement using channel-level data, holdouts and incrementality where volume allows. Our setup and management fees are agreed directly; your ad spend stays separate and is paid direct to Google. | Quoted |
You see the full deliverables and cadence first, then a price built for your business, confirmed in writing.

Questions about Performance Max Build
Is any of this synthetic slop churned out by a machine?
No. The structure, the search themes, the exclusion lists, the tracking design and the assets are all directed by a specialist and reviewed before delivery. Google's automation runs the campaign, which is what Performance Max is, but the build, the guardrails and the judgment about where money should and should not go are human expert work. This is craft that keeps the automation accountable, not a campaign spun up and left to drift.
How is Performance Max different from a regular Search campaign build, and do I need it?
A Search campaign shows text ads against queries chosen in advance. Performance Max runs across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail, Discover and Maps from a single campaign, with Google's automation deciding placement. That reach is powerful and easy to waste. Whether it is needed depends on your goals and inventory. If a scoping call shows PMax is the wrong tool for a given business, that gets said rather than sold around.
Will PMax just spend my budget wherever it wants?
Not once it is built properly. Left on defaults, it can wander across channels with little visibility. The whole point of this build is the guardrail stack: brand exclusions, campaign and account negative keywords, first-party audience exclusions, content and placement exclusions, and channel-level reporting that shows the split. That is the difference between a black box and a campaign that can be steered.
How do you handle my ad spend, and is it separate from your fee?
Always separate. The one-time setup fee and any ongoing management fee belong to Raveneye Global. Ad spend belongs to you, paid direct to Google on its own billing, never routed through the firm, never marked up, and never counted as the firm's revenue. Full ownership of the account stays with you. The firm builds and, where engaged, manages the campaign inside it.
What conversion numbers will you report, and will you promise a return?
No specific return is promised. Performance Max reports a blended last-click return that looks like truth but is not proof the spend caused the revenue, so a fixed ROAS on top of that number is not something the data supports. What gets reported is channel-level data, real cost per booked action, and, where volume allows, iROAS, MER, holdouts and incrementality. A naked return figure is never handed over dressed up as certainty.
You are billed from an overseas team. Does that affect a Google Ads build?
Raveneye Global operates as RavenGroup Global Tech Private Limited, and everything is billed in USD with no surprise conversion. The build is directed and reviewed by a specialist. A Performance Max campaign is judged on its structure, tracking, guardrails and measurement discipline, all of which are the same wherever the specialist sits. You own the account and every asset produced.
Isn't conversion tracking broken now that third-party cookies are going away?
The old cookie-based stack is fading and Privacy Sandbox was wound down, so the build rests on what actually works in 2026: server-side conversion tracking through Google's Conversions API, Consent Mode v2 so measurement respects consent, and clean-room data where it applies. That gives PMax a durable signal to optimize against instead of a signal that quietly erodes.
How long before the campaign is worth judging?
The build is delivered launch-ready, but the automation needs a learning window before its numbers mean much, and structural changes should hold to a roughly two-week rhythm rather than daily tinkering. Reporting gets read weekly for diagnostic issues, and steering changes hold to a cadence so the system is not whipsawed. The read gets given either way, when a result is signal and when it is still noise.
